Lisa Hype, from the Vybz Kartel led Portmore Empire, has become the latest in the celebrity sex scandal. Celebs cuaght on tape has become more popular over the years. Lisa Hype’s picture is being sent around the internet in an alarming rate; it depicts the female artiste DJ- ing on something other than a mic.

Beenie Man vs Gay Community
Beenie Man who was booked as the only Reggae act to be apart of an event called ‘Big Day Out’ in New Zealand, has been kicked off the line up due to pressure from gay groups.
Internet reports say that New Zealand MP Kevin Hague was among those objecting to the inclusion of the King of the Dancehall based on his anti-gay lyrics. Hague noted that hate-mongering is not welcome in New Zealand, and reportedly urged the Big Day Out to uninvite Beenie

Leave it to Dancehall artiste Spice to always delivering controversy at its best, this time by the name of; ‘ Chattie Back’. This song counteracts ‘Gal A Whe Mi Do Yuh?’ (Do Mi Dat) by Vybz Kartel featuring Sheba. Lyrical punches where thrown at Vybz Kartel in response to lines in ‘Do Mi Dat’.
In ‘ Do Mi Dat’ Sheba plays a fed-up girlfriend who adamantly says she will be seeking revenge on Kartel’s cheating character. Sheba’s character also throws Spice in the mix, singing: “Mi have a strong feeling say yuh touch Spice”, to which Kartel responds, “Me and Spice ting, ah fren sum’n.”
It is said ‘hell hast no fury like a woman scorned’ Well it seems spice was furious. She deejays, “Everyting yuh do me, mi ah go chattie back. Yuh did a look mi yuh cyaan say a lie dat.” No holding back Spice, she she goes as far as to say: “Yuh a beg mi fi lef mi baby fadah an mek mi an yuh married and ting…”;
JAH CURE ARRESTED IN TRINIDAD
Siccature Alcock popularly know as Jah Cure on Saturday, was in the custody of Trinidad and Tobago’s police or so it is rumored. It is alleged that he owed a businessman $20,000 and would not be able to preform until arrangements were made about the payment. Jah Cure who arrived in the country to perform at the event Cure Again at Pointe-a-Pierre, Guaracara Park.
The media, that of Trinidad & Tobago had a frenzy after getting word that Jah Cure was arrested. One such website was www.guardian.co.tt, the on-line version of newspaper The Trinidad Guardian. The article on that website read:
“Jamaican reggae superstar Jah Cure (Siccature Alcock) was arrested at the Hyatt Hotel at 7:30 last (Saturday) night. He was held following a court order issued by Justice Sebastian Ventor for failure to pay US$19,993 to a local businessman. Jah Cure would only have been able to perform at the event if he was able to pay the money in cash or sign a security bond for the amount owed. Jah Cure was recently released from jail in Jamaica after serving nine years for rape.”
Publicists for local reggae sensation Jah Cure, are denying Internet reports that Cure was arrested in Trinidad on Saturday night, after being slated for a show in that island.

Cultural artiste, Chuck Fenda has been busy promoting his upcoming album Fulfilment. He recently did a 2 week promotional tour in the U.S and Canada. The new album Fulfillment is charting at number 7 on iTunes in the United Kingdom up to Friday; however it has failed to make an impact on the U.S or the other countries that are in the iTunes market.
KIP RICH SIGNS DEAL
KipRich which real name is Marlon Plunkett, first got recognition with his hit called ‘Lego Di Bwoy’ featuring Big Ship’s very own Chino. KipRich has proven to Jamaica of his versatility throughout the years, doing various style of lyrics but staying grounded to his style; he also showed that he is not one to mess with as he lyrically man slaughtered dancehall group ‘Monster Hempire’ at Sting 2008.
The Miami-based label had previously signed reggae artiste Anthony B, and released his album ‘Unstoppable’, which featured Wycliff Jean and Bone Crusher on the hit song Lighter. They are now interested in pushing KipRich’s career even further, they believe he has what it takes to cross over and succeed in the U.S. KipRich has been busy creating new tracks for an upcoming album, to be released by Togetherness Records.
Great things are expected, if Kipo delivers like he has in songs like ‘Telephone ting’ ‘Liqour’ ‘Baby Mama Drama’ and the list goes on.
