Elly Ess was born with hip-hop in New York City and raised in Clarendon, Jamaica where reggae music influences the world. One night as a young boy in Jamaica a cheering crowd and music coming from his father’s bar awakened him. When he snuck into the crowded establishment and peeked around the corner he witnessed a local artist performing for an eager audience. At that moment Elly Ess realized his dream to become an artist and performer.  When he moved to Newark, NJ as a young adult he knew his dreams could become a reality and has been pursuing it ever since.

His music reflects his life, love of music and passion to perform. Elly Ess writes about his experiences, expresses them from his heart and strives to be the best at everything he does. A quote that reflects Elly Ess’s musical objectives and drive comes from one of his songs, “Jah Jah, forgive me for the things I’ve done. Father forgive me; please forgive your son.

Along with his brother/ producer, Supah Shane, this dynamic duo has accomplishments including the “onward riddim” which features reggae artists, Capleton and Richie Spice. The “gangsta gangsta riddim” featuring dancehall artists, Mavado, Vybz Kartel, Aidonia, Munga, Bling Dawg, and more. With the release of the “Bad Boys” remake featuring Vybz Kartel and hip-hop artist Jim Jones, Elly Ess and Rock Star Entertainment & Music has made a defined step into the hip-hop arena. A triple threat to the dancehall scene, Supah Shane (Shane Hoosong), isn’t holding back. Producer, writer, and now recording artist; Supah Shane has arrived and definitely has staying power.

“More Money” is his first single along side brother/artist Elly Ess and will be featured on their upcoming EP; ”United We Stand”. “More Money” is now available for purchase on iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon, Zune and the ringtone can be purchased through all major cell phone carriers.  In addition, the “More Money” video is in heavy rotation on RETV in Jamaica.

Supah Shane currently produces, writes music, and resides in Newark, NJ. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Clarendon, Jamaica where as a kid became interested in music by playing the trumpet in his school band. He started making beats at the age of 15 with a keyboard and of course a dream to be successful in the music industry.

Today, Supah Shane has moved from what he considered just making beats to being a producer. Shane has accomplished the task of working with some of the most well recognized and respected artists in the industry.
